Call Screening and Blocking
You can identify every incoming call in different ways. First, you can see the caller ID displayed on your phone or on the Call Controller in your PC. Second, you can have the auto-attendant ask callers to state their name for you to listen through your computer’s speakers. Afterwards, you can decide whether to take the call, reject it or send it to voicemail.
This feature goes along with call blocking, which lets you prevent specific numbers from calling your number. Caller IDs that you have identified as unwanted callers (such as telemarketers or prank callers) can be blocked from calling you. Whenever they dial your number, they would hear a busy tone or a “number not in service” message.
This feature works well for me because my RingCentral Office number is a toll free number. Since every incoming call is charged to me, I need to make sure that every call is important. I use the call blocking feature to prevent unwanted callers, so that aside from saving costs, I can also save time and attend to more important matters.
With a very tight schedule that everyone in my team needs to adhere to, we cannot afford to receive unwanted calls. With the RingCentral Office call screening and call blocking feature, I am able to focus on my tasks well and not waste my time on prank calls and telemarketers. Through caller ID, I can immediately see who’s calling. Based on the number displayed, I can choose to block the call. When blocked callers dial my number, they would hear a “number not in service” message.
Make it yours! Fast food restaurants
Caller ID is very important especially for fast food restaurants that deliver food. Through call screening, prank callers and other unwanted calls can be blocked and ignored. This helps save a lot of time on talking with people who just make fun of the telephone number. Also, with call screening and blocking, a fast food restaurant would be able to attend better to customers, since unimportant phone numbers are eliminated from the list of callers. This lessens the possibility of a busy tone, therefore lessening the risk of losing orders.
