Dial-by-Name Directory
The RingCentral Office Dial-by-name Directory lets you provide your callers an easy and convenient way to reach you. The auto-attendant guides callers to go to the person or department they need to access. This feature is auto-generated, but you can change some settings through the Call Controller. Depending on your preferences, you can allow callers to dial by first or last name. Also, you can add and delete extensions in the directory.
This feature has helped me project a more professional image to customers. Also, the ease that it is able to provide to all customers and even business partners is highly appreciated. This removes the need for callers to actually know the extension number of the person they want to reach.
The dial-by-name directory has been providing me and the rest of my team easy access to each other. Whenever I need to contact one of my staff, I just have to refer to the directory and wait for the auto-attendant to speak the name and number of the staff that I need. This way, I do not need to keep a long list of my team’s extension numbers. This feature is also very easy to manage. I just have to log in to my RingCentral Office account and edit the names and extension numbers. I can also set the auto-attendant to speak either according to first or last names.
